Today we place a spotlight on Mindbuilders Creative Arts Center. Mindbuilders provides quality classes in music, dance, theater, voice and martial arts. Each year, they reach over 600 students in group classes, private lessons and workshops in various disciplines. This North Bronx facility is committed to maintaining professional artistic standards, in a nurturing and engaging environment that would impact the whole student.
Mindbuilders, a non-profit organization, began in 1978, by former public school teacher, Madaha Kinsey-Lamb, who desired to create a space where children could explore, expand and develop their self through dance, music, theater and more. This dream has remained true as Mindbuilders continues to empower young people to express themselves, realize their full potential and live dynamic, rewarding lives. The teachers are not only experts in their fields but dedicated mentors. Their motto is, “It takes a special kind of teacher to be a Mind Builder”.
